In a recent development at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the campus has once again come under the spotlight as provocative graffiti bearing messages such as "Bhagwa Jalega" (saffron will burn) and 'Free Kashmir 'were discovered sprayed on the walls inside the university. This incident has ignited a furor on social media and   twitter, where pictures and videos of the controversial messages quickly circulated, sparking outrage among netizens.

The graffiti included messages like 'Bhagwa Jalega',  'Free Kashmir,' and 'Teri Kabra Khudegi' , along with messages related to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) marked with cancellation symbols.

Additionally, a message advocating for the release of Sharjeel Imam was also found sprayed on the university's walls. As of now, the university has not issued an official statement addressing this incident, leaving many questions unanswered. Nonetheless, these incidents involving provocative messages and defacement of the JNU campus with slogans have occurred in the past. In December 2022, anti-Brahman slogans were discovered on the walls of the JNU campus, prompting action in response to public outcry.
